I have not kissed Bharath” says Thamanna

Thamanna is now quite busy after acting with Surya in Ayan. There is a stiff competition between the top actors to pair with her. She is in high demand now. Now she is acting with Bharath in the film Kandein Kadhalai. There was news recently about Thamanna relaxing her norms and has agreed to do the kissing scene in Kandein Kadhalai. When Thamanna was asked about this, she said,” The climax scene was shot two days ago. News was spread that I have acted in kissing scene with Bharath in the climax sequence. I have not acted like that. The whole film was shot as in the original film.
Director Kannan told me the whole story before signing the agreement. This film is a remake of the Hindi film Jab We Met. In this film there is a kissing scene. So I told the director that I would be happy if this scene is deleted in the Tamil version. He has also agreed and confirmed me that there will be no kissing scene in this film. Hence there is no confusion about this. There is no such scene in this film. I only kissed Bharath on his forehead and not on his lips.”

What if Nayan marries Prabhu Deva?
The media persons had a hectic day recently when reports started to flow in that Nayanthara and Prabhu Deva had exchanged the marriage vows. There were also reports that the already married Prabhu Deva faced stiff opposition from his family, who took the issue to a well-established hero for an amicable settlement. While all these flurry of activities were being reported, a bolt out of the blue came in the form a morphed photograph that showed Nayan and Prabhu Deva as man and wife. The fact that it was published by a reputed magazine created a lot of hype. To make matters worse both Nayan and Prabhu Deva were not available for comments. |
Of course, fans would be keen to know every little personal detail of their stars and marriage is a big issue that every one would want to know. But in the quest to be the first in the media to serve the hot news, some unscrupulous media houses do resort to unfair practices like publishing morphed photos. Such practices are generally followed by film-based magazines whose very existence depends on film buffs. But is it pardonable if it is done be a reputed magazine? Everyone has to realize that even movie stars have a personal life; their self-esteem and privacy ought to be respected. Of course, good press covering genuine news about our favorite stars is always a delight. Like the recent marriage of Jeyam Ravi, or the Suriya-Jyothika marriage in 2006 which was perhaps one of the best covered star events in the last decade.
It does not matter if Nayan and Prabhu marry or not. If they do, it would definitely make big news in the film industry and when such announcement comes from reliable sources, media houses can publish a cover story, discuss about the legality of the marriage etc. Why do media houses publish news based on their imagination, why do they have to jump the gun? Even after 75 years of Tamil cinema, the most sought after news items are personal tidbits of stars. This shows that we have not progressed much in terms of being able to appreciate films as works of art and technology. A movie has scores of aspects to it but the media tends to start and stop with stars and music. Rarely do camera, editing, re-recording, art direction, special effects and the like get mentioned. The depths of cinema have not been brought to the people by the media, its only the surface that has been prodded. Objective and detailed coverage of all aspects of cinema will help people understand the medium better. At present, a sort of mystic air surrounds cinema, disconnecting it from the common man as something that is only a domain for stars. Only the media can demystify cinema and bring it to the people as it is. Only then will our appreciation of the medium rise above the superficial.
Considered to be the fourth estate of the democracy, why do media houses still depend on pointless gossips in the cine industry more often than not? The reasons are very obvious. At the end of the day, it is the circulation that matters and professional ethics are guillotined to give way to sensationalism. Hoping for better press!
Nayantara’s tattoo for Prabhu Deva

If Nayantara’s clandestine marriage with Prabhu Deva has sparked flames, then there are more shockers coming our way. Nayantara may be having a flagging career, but the Lady surely knows how to hold on to her star image.
When the audiences were shell-shocked by the marriage news, the actress declined it vehemently by saying that she would not indulge in anything in secrecy and that the entire cooked up story is absurd. However Prabhu Deva was not available for any comments. When we wanted to believe her, new evidences have fortified our doubts further.
Nayantara was seen in Hyderabad for the launch of a Hakim’s Alim tattoo store and what was really glaring was a tattoo a little above her wrist. The tattoo had the letter ‘P’ in English and the rest in Tamil, which reads as Prabhu Deva. The most befitting way to launch a tattoo lounge!
The sensational queen had her clarifications ready. She said that her admiration for Prabhu Deva as a person and towards his professional commitment was expressed in the form of a tattoo. Nayantara advised the media to indulge in sensible news coverage rather than prowling on her personal life. She minced no words in saying that she is hardly bothered by these trivial news.
Nayantara disclosed that it is a temporary tattoo. Are there any hidden signals for Prabhu Deva, that the lady may search for greener pastures in future. Well, till we get a confirmation regarding the marriage, there are more crackers in store.
Prabhu Deva secretly marries Nayantara

This is really a shocking news for Tamil cinema fans and shows how the tinsel world loses its morality with such kind of indecent proposals.
There have been strong rumours about the close relationship between Prabhu Deva – Nayantara for the past few months.
According to reports, Prabhu Deva, the father of three children and husband of the former dancer Ramlath fell in love with Nayantara during Villu shooting time.
Now that secret affair has come to an end with the marriage of both the stars. According to sources, both Prabhu Deva and Nayantara have been living together for the past 3 weeks and the marriage was held in Hyderabad secretly.
Prabhu Deva has fled to an unknown place stating that he has some works in a Hindi project. Meanwhile Nayantara has reacted sharply to the marriage news.
According to the actress, there is no necessity to her to hide the matter. “I will reveal everything, when I consider it is necessary. Otherwise media should keep quiet on this issue..”, she said.
