You should know that the very first symbian phones (S60v1 & v2 Phones) were not closed. We could see all phone files with an explorer, we could install any application that came out and so on. unfortunally virus developers knew that also and after some time (when Nokia started to sell many S60 phones) many viruses came out because the phones were not protected at all against that. After that Symbian had to react. And they did, bringing out Symbian Os 9.xx . Symbian had changed almost everything on the phones software, making it impossible to install applications that were developed for the older operating systems. i think the first thought of symbian was to make the phones more secure against viruses. some people also say they did that for the money...and i think they are also right because everything is about the money  SYMBIAN 9.x with the new operating system everything changed. these phones Are fully secure now. of course we could install new apps on it but they had to be signed applications or our mobile should be hacked.


SIGNED APPLICATIONS WHAT IS THAT
Signing is the process of encoding a tamper- proof digital certificate into an application sis (installation ) file. The certificate identifies the applications origin, and grants access to those Capability- protected API's (Application Programming Interface) in Symbian OS that the application declared at build-time.


Here are several Capability examples On Symbian OS, protected APIs are those that allow sensitive operations, such as those that may:

* access end users private data, thus potentially breaching privacy
* potentially create billable events, thus costing the end user money
* access the mobile phone network, potentially affecting its operation
* access handset functions that can affect the normal behavior of the phone
* potentially impact the performance of other applications running on the phone.

Although Symbian didnt wanted the end- user to get involved in all this process, (signing etc should be only for the developers and they should get certificates from symbiansigned.com) we got somehow involved through many certificate providing sites like op*a


Now (from june 2011) symbiansigned has tempruarly stopped providing developer certificates, so we cant think about signing till they start providing the developer certificates again, and they thought itll be the end of haching and signing, Luickily our symbian modders found out about the security hole in symbian antivirus apps and voila symbian mobiles can be hacked agan ,This time its easier than before (wont take morethan 2 - 5 minutes) and we dont have to wait for our certificates

1. Gather the file you wish to bind, and the image file, and place them in a folder. For the sake of this demonstration, I will be using C:\New Folder
-The image will hereby be referred to in all examples as fluffy.jpg
-The file will hereby be referred to in all examples as New Text Document.txt

2. Add the file/files you will be injecting into the image into a WinRar .rar or .zip. From here on this will be referred to as (secret.rar)

3. Open command prompt by going to Start > Run > cmd

4. In Command Prompt, navigate to the folder where your two files are by typingcd location [ex: cd C:\New Folder]

5. Type [copy /b fluffy.jpg + secret.rar fluffy.jpg] (remove the brackets)

Congrats, as far as anyone viewing is concerned, this file looks like a JPEG, acts like a JPEG, and is a JPEG, yet it now contains your file.

In order to view/extract your file, there are two options that you can take
a) Change the file extension from fluffy.jpg to fluffy.rar, then open and your file is there
b) Leave the file extension as is, right click, open with WinRar and your file is there

Multiple login in gtalk ( simple trick )

I wonder why this feature is not by default included in Google Talk. One can login simultaneously to more than one account. Unlike yahoo multiple login no need of registry editing here.

Follow these simple steps.........

* Create a shortcut of your Google talk.

* Right click the shortcut ----> choose Properties.

* In the "Target" you will find this "C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe"

* Now at the end of target add this "/nomutex" without the quotes. It should be like this "C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe" /nomutex . There is a space after googletalk.exe"

Thats it .Click OK and you can open more than one Google talk.

Here is HOW ...


Step1: Copy your data and image file to the same Folder.
Step2: Start > Run > CMD > CD to the folder that contain data, image files
Type this command:

copy /b image_file.jpg +data_file.rar image_file.jpg

Completed ! But, whenever you want to open your data file, rename your image file to data file name.

Folder Background Images in Windows XP

Here is a simple tutorial with which you can add any image to your Folder Background. This tutorial works for Windows XP only. You can modify any folder you want, in simple 4 steps given below.

Not only Folders, you can also add cool images to your C,D or E Drives also. Just give it a try and I am sure you will like it.

Here is a step-by-step tutorial :

Step 1) First make a new folder in which you want to add background. For explanation I take a folder as Akhil.

Step 2) Now open Notepad, copy and paste the following code in it.

That's it ! Just open you folder and now you can see the folder with the selected image as background.

To remove the Background Image simple change the image path to "no image " without quotes i.e.,

How to create shortcut to lock your computer!!

• Right-click the desktop.
• The Create Shortcut Wizard opens.
• In the text box, type the following:
  rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation

• Click Next.
• Point to New, and then click Shortcut.
• Enter a name for the shortcut.
• You can call it "Log off" or choose any name you like.
• Click Finish.
  

You can also change the shortcut's icon (my personal favorite is the padlock icon in shell32.dll).

To change the icon:

• Right click the shortcut Folder or File
• Select Properties.
• Click the Shortcut tab, and then click the Change Icon button.
• Then Look for icons in this file text box, type:
  Shell32.dll. or Empty space
• Click OK.
• Select one of the icons from the list and then
• click OK

You could also give it a shortcut keystroke such CTRL+ALT+L. This would save you only one keystroke from the normal command, but it could be more convenient.

Make your folders invisible...:)

• Right Click on the desktop. Make a new folder


• Now rename the folder with a space (U have to hold ALT key and type 0160).


• Now u have a folder with out a name.



• Right click on the folder -> properties -> customize.


• Click on change icon.


• Scroll a bit, u should find some empty spaces Click on any one of them.


• Click ok


• To find your hidden folder press ctrl+A.

That’s it, now u can store your personal data without any 3rd party tools.

Different ways to shutdown Windows!!

There are so many different ways to turn off your Windows XP computer, let's look at some of them:

• The standard approach - click the Start Button with your mouse, then select the Turn Off menu and finally click the Turn Off icon on the Turn Off computer dialog.
• Press Ctrl+Esc key or the Win key and press u two times - the fastest approach.
• Get the Shutdown utility from Download.com - it add the shut down shortcuts for you.
• Create a shutdown shortcut on your desktop. Right click on the desktop, choose New Shortcut and type shutdown -s -t 00 in the area where you are asked to specify the location of the program file. Now you can just double click this icon to turn off the computer. The best location would be your quick launch bar.
• Press the Win key + R key to open the run window. Type shutdown -s -t 00. [s means shutdown while t means the duration after which you want to initiate the shutdown process].
  If some open processes or application won't let you turn off, append a -f switch to force a shut down by closing all active processes.
• Win+M to minimize all windows and then Alt+F4 to bring the Turn Off computer dialog.
• Open Windows Task manager (by right clicking the Windows Task bar or Alt+Ctrl+Del) and choose Shut down from the menu. Useful when the Windows are not responding.
• Note:: Some of the above steps might not work in Windows 98 and in some older operating systems!!

Changing password through safe mode!!!

In case of user password boot the pc in safemode

• by pressing the F8key
• then select the Safe Mode option.
• You can now logon as anadministrator and XP wont prompt for the password.

Incase of anadministrator account try rebooting the pc in DOS.

• access C:\Windows\system32\config\sam
• Rename SAM as SAM.mj
• Now XP wont ask for password next time You Login.
• Also Go to the cmd prompt.
• Type net user *.
• It will list all the users.
• Again type net user "administrator" or the name of the administrator"name" *.e.g.: net user aaaaaa *(where aaaaaa is the name).
• It will ask for the password.
• Type the password and there you are done.
